1000BodiesProject Art Event Comes To London [Art, Event]

Imagine yourself in a photo studio, alone and completely naked with a black mask in one hand and a remote camera trigger in the other. You get one shot, and the result is up to you.
Do you dare?
Push your limits and join in on the 1000BodiesProject now!

Open session scheduled in London on Saturday, Nov 26th 2011! 10 am – 6 pm

Location: Flixels London in Scrubs Lane, near Willesden Junction. (Map and directions)
Many thanks to Flixels for facilitating this!

This is open to everybody. In fact, the less you look like a typical model, the more welcome you are! Therefore, spread the word to all your friends, family and acquaintances! (Also invite them to the Facebook event).

Whether you’re an experienced nude model, or have never been naked in your life, whether you’re a policeman, real estate agent, kindergarden teacher, retired, student, lawyer, office clerk, old, young, fat, skinny, lacking an arm or leg, covered in tattoos or piercings, male or female, exhibitionist or the most shy person in the world, you can participate in this project. Everybody is wanted.

It takes 10 minutes, you take the photo yourself, it’s free of charge, and it’s fun!

The project will result in an exhibition and a photo book.

The rules of the project are:
You are alone in the studio when the picture is taken, and you take it yourself.
You can wear no clothes, but you will be given a mask to be used as you wish.
You pose however you feel like. There will be no mirror – you take the photo when you feel comfortable.
You have 1 – one – shot.

You will sign a model release before participating, ensuring your own and the project’s safety. You will also be fully instructed in how to take the photo, and will have all questions answered.
Once the photo is taken you can have a look at it, and you will also receive it by email. If you are not happy with the result, you don’t get a second chance. The aim of the project is not to selectively show your best side, but to show you as you are. Should you wish to withdraw, you may do so whenever you wish (until the photo has been printed for exhibitions).

The project was featured in Norway's 2nd largest national newspaper.

The project is based at Kolonihaven Studio in Oslo, Norway. Map and directions are found here. We are currently working on taking the project to other places all over the world, with the help of local contacts. If you want 1000BodiesProject to come to your city, feel free to contact us at bodies (a) cinaed.net.

If you are in Oslo, check the main page for the next dates of photography.
