Nudists Hope Aniston And 'Wanderlust' Give Resorts A Boost [Showbiz]

In the new movie Wanderlust, opening Friday, Jennifer Aniston and Paul Rudd play a cash-strapped Manhattan couple who opt for the hippie life at a nudist club in Georgia, where free love reigns and bathrooms and bedrooms lack doors.

And, naturally, the American Association for Nude Recreation is hoping the film gives 'nakations' a new round of exposure.

According to the association's blog, scenes were filmed near Georgia's Paradise Valley (about 45 minutes outside Atlanta) and Serendipity Park, and club members were used as extras.

"The movie is great fun. The nudists were on screen for only approximately 10 to 20 seconds, at least it seemed to be a short time anyway," notes one of those extras, Randy Savage. "It did not present any negative connotations regarding nudists at all ... I believe it will do very well, especially because it shows explicit nudity, including full frontal males (myself included). My son and daughter-in-law attended with us and gave the movie very high marks."

"Much has been made of Jennifer Aniston's nude scene in the film, although it was left on the cutting room floor and the scene that remains shows only implied nudity," the blog adds. "However, in many articles over the last two weeks, the actress said that after feeling briefly uncomfortable, she found nudity 'liberating.'"

Maybe. But don't expect the actress to book a stay at the type of resort depicted in Wanderlust. As Aniston told USA TODAY's Andrea Mandell, she couldn't comply with two big rules: "It's a tossup between the free love and no doors on the bathrooms."
